INDIA’S NEW QUARTERLY ART AND DESIGN NEWSPAPER

The newspaper is an opportunity to provide new perspectives at the intersection of art, media, activism, politics, and contemporary culture. Our goal is to collaborate with individuals to create our vision of what we’d like to see in print, to be as accessible and inclusive as possible, build meaningful exchanges with our readers and most importantly, revive print media.

TIRT ISSUE 03

In Issue 03 of TIT, we centre womxn led narratives. We aim to shift the power of storytelling in the form of paintings, photography, performance, writing, and sculpture to the talented and phenomenal artists we’ve spotlighted in this issue. We’ve introduced new writers, highlighted stories about the legacy of womxn in our lives, and focused on the importance and significance of owning and knowing our bodies. We hope their creativity and resilience inspire you and show you the possibility of what art is and can be.

TIRT ISSUE 02

In Landmarks and Landmines we explore future utopias. If a supermass like Pangaea never split into the continents we know of today, what would our world be like? In Issue 02, we imagine and create a futurism that is rooted in a world we really want to envision for ourselves and our people. It stems from a place of hope—of living in harmony with our environment, and learning from those who know how to; of leading with our hearts and not our egos; of consumption not for greed but for sustenance, and one that respects the knowledge and traditions of its people and the land.

The first issue Please Wait For The Host To Start This Meeting explores the year that was and continues to be, and the impact of the digital wormhole on our everyday lives. In our first issue, we have thought pieces about rewilding in India by conservationist Cara Tejpal, dystopian art by Visual Artist Anpu Varkey, a deep dive into Chiraag Bhakta’s art practice, a spotlight on photographer Harsha Vadlamani’s portraits in Challo Dilli, an anecdotal and seasonal recipe by Chef Pallavi Mithika Menon...and so much more.
